As the operators and initiators, as musicians and as people we experience it as much more than just a name. The term stands for something different. Always new, always changing.

An institution such as the Rockhouse has no obligations to fulfil, but it has to satisfy a need, namely to bring culture to life. To make culture accessible, to initiate a valuable process of increasing awareness. Not to take culture as an empty concept, but to reflect changes - social, ecological, political phenomena - and always to include them in the work.
