Salzburg Sound of Music Show

"The Hills are Alive", "Do-Re-Mi", "Edelweiß", "SixteenGoing on Seventeen"…these and more highlights from the film are part of the show. Also included in our program to create a Salzburg evening with traditional flair: popular operetta melodies, Austrian folk music the von Trapp family used to play, and cheerful classical pieces by the famous composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

A recorded interview with Maria von Trapp, in which she recounts the story of her family, opens the show. Her youngest son Johannes- president of the Vermount Family Lodge an friend of our program- also appears in this eight minute video. The show also includes the Sound of Music dinner, for which our auditorium becomes a fine dining room. Our hosts at the "Sternbräu" have created a special four course menu following the motto:
"Schnitzel with noodles and crisp apple strudel"!
